A Day of Rest at Skamania Lodge
July 7th, 2007 10:07 AM

This week has been kind of a odd week what with the Fourth of July being in the middle of the week. Can I say that? Three weeks in one sentence?

The Fourth is always a busy time of the year for most of us and in our family it is no different. This year however my Son-in-law and Daughter purchased an overnight stay for my wife and I at Skamania_Lodge_in_Stevenson_Wa. . Skamania Lodge in Stevenson Washington in the Scenic Columbia River Gorge

The Lodge is located across the Columbia River from Cascade Locks, Oregon in the Scenic Columbia River Gorge and just a 2-5 minute drive to Stevenson Washington.

Stevenson is a small quite community built on the banks of the Columbia River and summer activities are oriented around the river. Parasails on The Columbia River in Stevenson Washington

Columbia Gorge and River activities take advantage of strong winds and water.

Skamania Lodge is the perfect place to wind down and relax. Sitting up high on the bluff the Gorge and River Views are fantastic.View of the Columbia River and Gorge from the Observation deck at Skamania Lodge in Stevenson Washington

There are many activities at Skamania Lodge Like Golf, Swimming,Tennis and Basketball to mention a few. But the main attraction is the serene setting an total relaxation you get from being in this Scenic Beauty.

Got a Real Estate Dilemma Choose a State Ask a Question
July 9th, 2007 9:17 AM

Sometimes as we travel through life we are presented with problems that we have no ready solution for. Now we can try to ascertain the answer through trial and error, ask friends and family members, or ask Professionals for the solution to our problems.

This year the folks at ActiveRain_an_Internet_Blogging_Site  have created an Ask a Real Estate Professional Q&A forum. The Web Site located at www.Localism.com  provides a portal for those wanting more information about Real Estate in any of the Continental United States and Canada including  Alaska and Hawaii.

Ask the Expert Button from Localism.

Ask The Expert Q&A Button for localism web site

This Button is located in the upper right hand corner of the Wb page. Once there you can ask your question or questions for real estate professionals.

The Q&A center should not be used as a source of legal advise, and it should be noted that often times Real Estate professionals may respond from outside of there own State and area of expertise. The answers you receive though are always interesting and can give you a variety of thought processes by others as they perceive your problem.

As always you may email me right here as well for any of your real estate questions for Oregon at h.hamilton@remax.net .

Have fun with it and have a fabulous day here in the Pacific Northwest, Portland Oregon. See you on the Net.

Celebrating on The Fourth of July What will you be Doing
July 2nd, 2007 9:00 AM

What will you be doing for the 4th of July? The variety of options that we as Americans have available to us is truly amazing. It is often so easy to overlook the simple pleasures in life that we take for granted.

So what will you be doing? Each year in my household we try to do something different. Some years however we choose to do nothing. Preferring just to stay at home and relax.

This year however we have plans. My Son-in-law and Daughter have purchased an overnight stay at Skamania Lodge in Stevenson Washington some 50 minutes from Portland Oregon. I have had many opportunities over the past few years to visit what I have been told is a fabulous Lodge and Golf Course where they host many events each year.

But this will be my first visit. The kids really did a great job at keeping the gift a surprise. This weekend the four of us had met at Glendoveer Golf Course here on the east side of portland for 18 holes. We stopped for a dink after to discuss the day and outcomes the gift card. The occasion is not only the 4th of July but my birthday as well.

I will take some pictures and post them. I hope that your 4th is memorable as well. What will you be doing in this great land of ours?
